🔹101 Stained Glass and Sacred Ink: Bring Sunlight in now
Stained Glass Handcrafted By Stella Photis, MCMA | Founder of Neurographica Art & Design Ltd and Divine Soul Exploration
Handcrafted Stained Glass – oolala! There’s a special kind of magic that happens when sunlight streams through colour. For me, that moment became a turning point, when I discovered how to create stained glass effects using vibrant inks on acrylic sheeting. No lead, no heavy glass, just a luminous dance of light, line, and intention.
The First Spark: Sunflowers in the Stairwell
It began with a sunflower. A bold, glowing motif placed above my doorway, a spot kissed by sunlight at just the right time of day. I mounted the stained glass panel temporarily to test the effect, and what I witnessed took my breath away: a golden warmth that poured down my stairs like honey.
That wasn’t just a decorative moment. It was a soulful shift. A space once neutral now pulsed with vibrancy, warmth, and meaning. I knew then that this would become part of my creative path.
Art, Light, and Soul in Harmony
Each stained glass piece I create is painted by hand on crystal-clear acrylic, lightweight, durable, and perfect for both renters and homeowners who want a dramatic feature without the need for permanent installation. I use rich translucent inks and special contour lines to replicate the look of traditional stained glass, but with a modern freedom that allows me to experiment, evolve, and play with themes.
And of course, each piece is infused with intention, sometimes informed by my Neurographica work, other times by symbolism, nature, or personal stories.
From Temporary Joy to Photographic Brilliance
One of the brilliant discoveries I’ve made is using a bright white board behind my pieces to temporarily block older artwork (like my sunflower), creating a clean backdrop for new designs. This trick lets me photograph each new piece in full, natural light, almost as if they were permanently installed in the window. It allows each new themed panel to shine in its own right before it finds its new home.

A Frame of Gold: Honouring the Light
I’ve chosen a slim wood trim to frame the panels, painted in a brushed antique gold that catches light beautifully. This soft metallic tone lifts the colours on dull days, while balancing the vibrancy on sunny ones. It also gives the piece a timeless finish without overpowering the art itself.
Each one is a dance between structure and freedom, colour and calm. Just like the energy we hold within.
